Context

Marco and Tyler discovered an opportunity within the content creation market to connect content creators with brands for UGC collaboration. The current options lack transparency and easy discoverability for brands to build an intimate relationship with Creators. They aim to build an iOS app to test the business viability.

Objective

In a very short amount of time we will rapidly build an MVP iOS app concept for connecting content creators with brands who need UGC. We will research, strategize UX, sketch, wireframe, plan, design, develop, and test a rough, featureless way of allowing brands to meet creators and submit Stripe payments in exchange for UGC content for their brand.

Phase 1: UX Architecture

Estimated Duration: 1 Week
Deliverables: Insights, Knowledge, Site Map, Database Schematic

1A. UX Journey Planning

Let's define primary user flows (create account, onboarding, create job postings, create packaging, build profiles, etc). We'll have discussions about major components of the app (job postings vs Creators making bundles).

1B. Site Mapping

We will create a map of all pages for the app to provide a visual for key user journeys and necessary pages.

1C. Database Scheme Design

Let's think about scalability of the app and design a schematic for how collections of data should be stored and accessed from the database.

1D. Market Research

Let's analyze, dissect, and steal ideas from competitors and existing platforms. Billo, Insense, Upwork, Social Cat, and more have a lot figured out. We can save a lot of time by learning from these companies.

Phase 2: Wireframe Design

Estimated Duration: 1 Week
Deliverables: Low-Fidelity Wireframe Designs

2A. Wireframe Design

We will create black and white, low-fidelity wireframe designs with the goal of seeing every bit of content needed for the app. We will investigate text, buttons, images, navigation, layout, and general user flows.

2B. Evaluate Additional Costs

This is usually the part where we learn about new features that were missed during earlier planning and scoping. Josh will do his best to identify features that may require changes of scope or additional costs for outside developers.

2C. Revisions

Let's collaborate to structure of user journeys, and possibly address any new ideas for features missed. Provide feedback for general app structure and layout.

Phase 3: Hi-Fidelity Design

Estimated Duration: 1 Week
Deliverable: High Fidelity Mobile-Width App Designs

3A. Visual Moodboard

First, we will find inspiration and discuss visual style for the platform.

3B. App Design

We will use our moodboard as reference to execute a basic design aesthetic to our low-fidelity wireframes from the previous phase. Consideration will be placed upon color, typography, spacing, and the details that make an app feel like a consistent experience. We will focus on aesthetics and the way it looks and feels — but also ADA-compliancy to ensure we're using color combinations that are suitable for the visually impaired.

3C. Revisions

Let's collaborate on improving conversion rates with discussions about copy, icons, and general aesthetics. We don't have a lot of time — but consider getting outside feedback from prime audience at this stage.

3D. HARD APPROVAL

Client provides a written approval to seal app design changes to avoid scope creep moving into development phases. Additional revision rounds may incur additional costs.

Phase 4: No-Code Development

Estimated Duration: 2 Weeks
Deliverable: FlutterFlow Mobile App Project

4A. Features

Josh provides zero guarantees for the functionality of ANY of these features. His aim is to provide his best effort to accomplish as much as possible, but hiring developers may be necessary and those costs will not be covered by Josh.

Features for this project may include: account creation (separate for Brands and Creators), profile creation for Creators and Brands, package offering creation for Creators, portfolio creation for Creators, messaging between Creators and Brands, browse Creator profiles for Brands, browse Brand profiles for Creators, Stripe payments for Brands to pay Creators for their UGC packages, login/logout for Creators and Brands, delete account for Creators and Brands, push notifications for new messages and payments, and settings for editing profile and account information.

Phase 5: User Testing

Estimated Duration: 1 Week
Deliverable: 98% of a Functioning Mobile App

5A. No-Code Development Bug Fixing

Marco and Tyler will be responsible for bringing users into the app to test and gather feedback. Josh will monitor app usage and make best efforts to fix bugs and technical issues to the best of his ability within ONE week of time. Software bugs are infinite and additional revisions after one week will incur additional costs.

5B. ZERO Guarantees

This app will have bugs and technical limitations. This is the nature of building all software — especially an MVP.
