Context

Repeat their reality back to them. This is past-focused.

Objective

Describe the vision, methodology, and outcomes for this project. This is future-focused.

Phase 1: Framework Workshop

Estimated Duration: 2 Weeks
Deliverables: Brand Framework Deck

1A. Audience Definition

We believe customers always come first — this is why we start by intimately understanding your ideal customer. Our goal is to get inside their mind and develop maps to psychologically analyze their pain points, feelings, goals, desires, personalities, and more.

1B. Market Landscape

Together we will research, identify, and analyze the intricacies of the market options available to your ideal customers. Insights will be gathered about value propositions, brand names, messaging, logos, visual styles, pricing, website experiences, packaging, customer reviews, social media styles, and advertising campaigns, content, and other applicable brand activations. We will utilize this analysis of our market landscape to discover positioning opportunities.

1C. Value Positioning

Collaboratively we will discover opportunities to position your product within the market landscape. We will discuss key differentiators and the story that we want to tell. We may develop relevant positioning maps to visually articulate our brand position.

1D. Brand Purpose

A brand purpose is an internal positioning statement that defines key beliefs, differentiators, value propositions, and the narrative our brand will communicate.

1E. Humanization

Our objective is to personify the product. As if the product was human, we will define relevant personality traits that define the magic that brings your brand to life.

Phase 2: Messaging Workshop

Estimated Duration: 2 Weeks
Deliverables: Brand Messaging Deck

2A. Tone of Voice

We will define the verbal communication style that the brand presents. Various copywriting styles will be considered and adjectives will be selected that best define a cohesive style for the brand. Across all brand touch-points customers will recognize the familiar tone of voice within all brand messaging.

2B. Mission / Vision Statement

Your vision and mission are the guiding lights that align team members in the same direction and towards the same objectives. Vision Statements capture your imaginative perspective on what the future could hold — your Mission Statement is a more direct explanation for how your brand will bring your vision to reality.

2C. Brand Promise

This is the ultimate guiding promise that your brand makes to your customers. Every action the brand takes will align with this promise.

2D. Value Proposition Slogans

We will create various copywriting snippets and punchy taglines that can be used to communicate the value proposition quickly, effectively, and memorably across brand touch-points.

Phase 3: Visual Identity Design

Estimated Duration: 6 Weeks
Deliverable: Visual Identity Lookbook Deck + Visual Standards

3A. Style Discovery

First, we will explore personality and visual themes. Five low-fidelity mood boards will be created to gather initial thoughts and opinions on a variety of style directions. Client will select 1 mood board to continue to the next phase.

3B. Three Brand Directions

We will design three (3) unique and cohesive brand directions based on the selected moodboard during Style Discovery. The resulting brand direction will include naming, messaging, logo systems, cohesive color schemes, typographic styles, and a cohesive look and feel. Client will select one brand direction to move forward.

3C. Visual Standards

A Brand Lookbook will be finalized to present the brand look and feel as well as visual standard usages. Usage standards will be assigned for naming, URL, logo system, color codes (HEX, RGB, and CMYK), typographic guidelines, and any applicable rules relating to supporting elements including but not limited to patterns, textures, backgrounds, color combinations, photography styles, and/or icons. The Brand Lookbook will act as the bible for all future brand decisions, activations, and marketing materials to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand experience.

Phase 4: Packaging Design

Estimated Duration: 2 Weeks
Deliverable: Packaging Mockups, Lifestyle Mockups, Production Files

4A. Primary Packaging Design + Mockups + Production Files

We will design the front and back of up to 2 sachet designs (hot and cold) for tea powder. These 2 sachet designs may be prepared for production files for up to 10 subtle variants (flavors) each. This service does not include print vendor sourcing, vendor communication, or any/all related printing costs. Primary sachet designs will include nutrition labels and legal information provided by client. Client will provide dieline files from vendor. Josh Graef will prepare print-ready files to send back to printer.

4B. Lifestyle Mockups

Packaging mockups will be further developed into lifestyle mockups to create a realistic representation of the packaging in a real-life application. This may include the sachets on tables, surfaces, hands, and being poured into a cup.‍

4C. Secondary Packaging + Production Files

Secondary packaging may include up to 2 unique bag designs to hold sachets in various flavors (up to 20 SKU's for subtle design variations for flavor options). Additionally a shipping box, tissue paper, and up to 2 insert cards may be designed as needed. Client will provide dieline files from vendor. Josh Graef will prepare print-ready files to send back to printer.

4D. Bottle Design Mockup + Production Files

The visual identity will be activated on a bottle design as a mockup. Client will provide dieline files from vendor. Josh Graef will prepare print-ready files to send back to printer.
